Please be advised that on the morning of Friday, September 25, 2020, in Sarasota, Sarasota County, Florida, there was a serious and fatal car collision, killing at least one person. The accident happened at the intersection of Lockwood Ridge Road and Clark Road. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the same intersection was shut down as a result of the crash. The Sherriff’s Office has also advised the car accident has likely closed the intersection for hours while Florida Highway Patrol investigates. Drivers should avoid the area at this time for these reasons.
