Hale Helps™ Scholarship

At Hale Law, we are dedicated to uplifting the bright, aspiring leaders of tomorrow right from our own backyard. The Hale Helps Scholarship is a testament to our commitment to fostering resilience and ambition among the youth of Sarasota, Manatee, or Charlotte counties. We are thrilled to offer this $1,000 scholarship to support students who demonstrate a growth mindset and who have bravely navigated life’s challenges. Our goal is to celebrate and amplify the unique journeys and stories of local students, inspiring them to pursue their dreams with vigor and optimism. Applications are now open to high school seniors who are ready to take the next step in turning their aspirations into achievements. The application deadline is June 13th, 2025, and winners will be announced on July 11th, 2025.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Residency Requirement: Applicants must be residents of Sarasota, Manatee, or Charlotte County.

  2. Academic Status: Applicant must be a current high school senior who has applied to, been accepted by, or plans to attend an accredited post-secondary institution in Florida within one year of graduating.

  3. Academic Performance: Applicant must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0.

  4. Essay Submission: Applicants are required to submit a 750-1,000 word essay detailing a life-altering obstacle they have faced, such as an injury, illness, loss of a loved one, or another significant challenge.

  5. Transcript Submission: A copy of the applicant’s most recent high school transcript must be submitted, verifying academic performance and standing.

  6. Professional Resumé: A professional resumé listing both academic and professional experience must be submitted.

  7. Application Completion: All parts of the application form available on our website must be fully completed and submitted by the application deadline.

  8. Application Deadline: Applications must be submitted no later than June 13th, 2025, at 11:59 EST.

  9. No Guarantee of Award: Submission of an application does not guarantee an award. The selection process is competitive, and awards are based on the merit of the submitted materials relative to the applicant pool.

  11. Tax Responsibility: The scholarship amount may be subject to federal, state, and/or local taxes. The recipient is responsible for all applicable taxes.

  13. Publicity: Acceptance of the scholarship constitutes permission for Hale Law to use the recipient’s name, likeness, and biographical information for marketing and promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
