Former Hale Law Intern Graduates Stetson Law

Hale Law is proud to announce that its former Legal Intern, Jessica Merker, graduated from the Stetson University College of Law this May. While at Stetson, she competed in interscholastic moot court competitions as part of Stetson Law’s Moot Court Board. She was part of the team that won the 2021 Annual Robert Orseck Moot Court Competition hosted by The Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar. Also at that competition, she was named Best Oralist in the Preliminary Rounds and the Final Round. 

“Hale Law was lucky to have Jessica from the get-go,” said Patrick Iyampillai, Hale Law Partner. “She was brilliant throughout her time with us helping injured clients and the firm, and wherever she takes her talents to next will be extremely lucky to have her as well. Congratulations to Jessica on all of her deserved graduation achievements.”

In graduating with the Stetson Law Class of 2022, Jessica received Stetson’s Walter Mann Award, which is given each semester to the member of each graduating class who, in the opinion both of his or her classmates and of the faculty as a whole, has shown the greatest promise of becoming an outstanding leader in the legal profession. Jessica also received the Stetson Moot Court Award of Excellence and was nominated to the Order of Barristers, which is an honor society for United States law school graduates.
