Tragic Accident Near The Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport in Manatee County. On Monday, June 21, a fatal car crash took the lives of two people and injured five others, near the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport. According to local news sources, one of the vehicles involved in the crash was pulling out of a parking lot turning onto U.S. 41, when two other vehicles smashed into it. Law enforcement has begun a full investigation into how the crash happened. The two occupants inside the vehicle leaving the parking lot were killed. Reports from first-responders on the scene, state that the victims were a 77-year-old female, and a 78-year-old male.
