Hale Law Paralegal, Katrina Carlin, has been awarded the Stetson University College of Law Cacciatore Scholarship in Advocacy for the Protection of the Rights of Individuals for Spring 2023. The scholarship is named after S. Sammy Cacciatore, Esq., a lawyer who devoted his career to the representation of individuals for redress of wrongs, both in the trial courts and appellate courts. Throughout his career, he steadfastly fought for their rights and sought just redress and compensation for his clients.

In learning about this scholarship, one of her Hale Law supervising attorneys, Partner Patrick Iyampillai, said, “I am blown away by Katrina being awarded this scholarship. For her to be awarded this particular scholarship, named after a distinguished and noteworthy personal injury attorney, is just a testament to her daily advocacy, helping to fight for our personal injury clients. She will be an even more valuable asset to those in need one day as an attorney, and I cannot wait to see it.”

To be considered for this award, Ms. Carlin had to write to Stetson Law faculty about her experiences in advocacy. The result was her being chosen for this scholarship among other applicants for her next semester. Hale Law applauds her for this significant honor!
