Hale Helps™ Scholarship for Local High School Seniors

At Hale Law, we are dedicated to uplifting the bright, aspiring leaders of tomorrow right from our own backyard. The Hale Helps™ Scholarship is a testament to our commitment to fostering resilience and ambition among the youth of Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte counties. We are thrilled to offer this $1,000 scholarship to students who have bravely navigated life’s challenges and who can reflect on how one of Hale Law’s core values lives within their own story. Our goal is to celebrate and amplify the unique journeys and stories of local students, inspiring them to pursue their dreams with vigor and optimism.

Applications are now open to high school seniors who are ready to take the next step in turning their aspirations into achievements. Applicants must submit a 750–1,000 word essay, a resume, and their most recent transcript by the deadline.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Residency Requirement:
    • Applicants must be residents of Sarasota, Manatee, or Charlotte County.
  • Academic Status:
    • Applicant must be part of the high school graduating class of 2025–2026 (i.e., a current high school senior) who has applied to, been accepted by, or plans to attend an accredited post-secondary institution in Florida within one year of high school graduation.
  • Academic Performance:
    • Applicant must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5.
  • Essay Submission:
    • Applicants are required to submit a 750–1,000 word essay.
    • Our organization is guided by the following core values:

Choose one core value from this list that resonates most deeply with you. In your essay:

  • Explain what this value means to you in your own words.
  • Describe a specific experience or moment from your life (personal, academic, extracurricular, family, community, or otherwise) where you demonstrated, lived out, or were impacted by this value.
  • Reflect on how this experience has shaped who you are today and/or how you plan to carry this value forward as you pursue your post-secondary education and future goals.
  • Transcript Submission:
    • A copy of the applicant’s most recent high school transcript must be submitted, verifying academic performance and standing.
  • Professional Resumé:
    • A professional resumé listing both academic and professional experience must be submitted.
  • Application Completion:
    • All parts of the application form available on our website must be fully completed and submitted by the application deadline.
  • Application Deadline:
    • Applications must be submitted no later than May 29th, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST.

The scholarship amount may be subject to federal, state, and/or local taxes. The recipient is responsible for all applicable taxes.

Publicity:

Acceptance of the scholarship constitutes permission for Hale Law to use the recipient’s name, likeness, and biographical information for marketing and promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
